Configure an Auto Combo Detect/Auto Coupon Detect in POSitouch

Apply an Auto Detect Coupon Feature from the Back of the House

1. In POSitouch Back Office, navigate to Back Office Setup > Restaurant Misc Data > Order Screens / FF1.       
   
2. Fill in the range of Auto Combo screens.   
   Note: Multiple screens must be consecutive. 
   
3. Eligible coupons on the auto combo screen (#9 in this example) will apply without user input.   For example, when 2 Chicken Parmesan’s (cell name: Chix Parm) are ordered, the BOGO CKN PARM coupon will automatically apply without user input.
   
4. In POSitouch Backoffice, navigate to Back Office Setup > User Privilege Codes > Assign Privileges 1 - 8.
   
5. Scroll down to 54-Coupons and enable the setting for the user types that can apply coupons. Select Save.
   
6. Select Immediate System Change.
   
7. Select Continue.
   

Apply an Auto Detect Coupon Feature from the Front of the House

1. Order items that are eligible for a coupon displayed on the auto combo screen and touch View Edit. 
   
2. Confirm the BOGO CKN PARM coupon is automatically applied and the price for one Chix Parm is removed. 
   

Common Issues and Troubleshooting

When I order 2 CHIX PARM, it doesn’t apply to my check.

• Ensure that the required items that need to be ordered are listed in the coupon rules.  In this example, the item ordered must be the Chix Parm that is located on the Italian / Pasta screen.  If there is an additional Chix Parm on a different screen, it will not be eligible for this specific coupon. 
  

I need to change an item selected for the applied coupon, and I can’t delete it.

• Delete the coupon from the check, and then you will be able to delete the item to which the coupon was initially applied.

I am getting the error “Not Allowed or Delete Attached Coupon First”. 

• Delete the coupon from the check first if you are trying to delete an item that already has the coupon applied to it.  Simply delete the coupon, make necessary changes, and then when you reorder the item that is eligible for the coupon, it will automatically apply the coupon.
