Description: Learn the steps to update the pay rates of multiple employees at once, based on specified criteria.
Update Employee Rates
- From the RDC Navigator main page, select Labor>Other Labor Functions>Commands>Multi-Rate Change. It is recommended to unflag the Include Inactive Employees option so that inactive employees retain the rate they had at the time they became inactive.
- Select OK to continue.
- The new rate of $4.25 will be applied starting on 10/10/25 to all rates ranging from $0.01 to $3.89 across all departments (use Select/Unselect to highlight all departments in the list). Including the $0.01 starting rate ensures that jobs intentionally set at $0.00 will not be affected, for example, salaried employees.
- A list of all employees who meet this criterion will be displayed. Any employee listed that should not be included can be edited. Highlight the employee’s name and select Edit, and unflag the Change? button.
- Select Apply to have the new rate activated on the effective date.
View Employees' New Job Rate
In the employee's setup, the new job rate will be marked with an asterisk (*), indicating that the change is pending.
- To view this, navigate to Labor>Edit Employees, search for the employee and select Job/Rate.
The job “DR WAIT” has a current rate of $3.89 and listed below the “DR WAIT” job marked with an asterisk (*), has the new rate of $4.25. - Select Edit to view the date and day of the week that the change will become active.
Common Issues and Troubleshooting
After entering my criteria for the rate change and selecting “OK”, my list of employees is blank.
A job or jobs must be selected. A job can be selected from jobs under All Departments, or select a job for a certain department by clicking the drop-down list next to All Departments. The example below shows that no jobs are highlighted/selected.
This example shows all jobs except for “T COOK” and “T PUB WAIT” are selected. Selecting Select/Unselect will select all jobs or unselect all jobs listed.
