Accessing Transactions
To access gift card transactions, navigate to Gift Card Program > Transactions in the Shift4 Portal.
Transactions can be performed using either the Serial Number or the Full Gift Card Number.
Performing a Gift Card Transaction
The example below outlines how to complete a basic gift card activation in the portal.
Note: For basic transactions, only the required fields need to be completed.
To complete a transaction:
User ID
This is a required field. It may be pre-filled with a Store User Web ID assigned to your profile. If it is not pre-filled and you are unsure which User ID to use, contact your Program Administrator (CS User).
Full Card Number / Serial Number
Enter either the full Gift Card number or the Serial Number.
Amount
Enter the transaction amount.
Comment
Enter reference details or notes related to the transaction. This field is required.
Once all required fields are completed, submit the transaction to process the activation.
