Manage Store and Portal Users in the Shift4 Gift Card Portal Administration (Canada)

Overview

The Administration section of the Shift4 Gift Card Portal allows users to control key aspects of their Gift Card Program, including:

• Creating and managing Store User IDs and Terminal IDs
• Viewing or adding Store Web Users
• Managing CS User Profiles and their permissions

Note: A CS User must have the General: Store Terminal Profile and General: Store User Profile permissions enabled to view store and terminal users in the portal.

Accessing Store and Terminal Information

1. Navigate to Administration > Merchant Profile & Terminal Setup. A Store List will appear for the merchant.
   
2. Select All to view both active and inactive stores.
   
3. Select a store link to open its Terminal Setup page. This typically displays three sections:
   • Store users: Displays web-based Store User IDs for performing Gift Card transactions in the Portal. Select the User ID to confirm the ID and Password.
   • Store terminals: Displays Terminal IDs for registering terminals.
     • Add User: Use this option under Store Users or Store Terminals to create new IDs. Only CS Users with proper permissions can complete this action.
       
   • Operators: Lists operators associated with the store.

Store Web User Profiles

• Store Web Users can view reports or perform transactions for the stores their access is associated with.
• Access is limited based on the assigned permission group, administered by a CS User (Admin).
• CS Users can:
  • View existing Store Web Users
  • Create new Store Web Users via the Add a new store web user link
    

CS User Profiles

• CS Profiles are portal users with administrative rights over the entire Shift4 Gift Card Program.
• They can manage all users under Client and Store Profiles, run reports, and perform transactions for all stores.
• CS Users generally have additional permissions compared to Store Web Users.
  • Example: Adding a new user can only be completed by a CS User due to these administrative privileges.
• CS Profiles can be accessed under Administration > CS Profiles.
