Description: Learn to configure a delayed send cell type in POSitouch, which allows servers to type in a time and/or select a future date when the order should be sent to the prep stations. This article explains the use of a delayed send button from the front of the house terminal.

Back Office Settings
- From the POSitouch back office, open Quick Menu.
- Select the desired screen for the item to reside. (In this example, the item will appear on a screen labeled Misc. Screen)
- Select a blank cell.
- Enter the following information:
- The name of the Delayed Send cell in the Cell field.
- In the Cell Type dropdown, select Delayed Send.
- Select Close.
- Select the X icon to close QuickMenu.
- From the Back Office Main Menu, select Immediate System Change.
- Select Continue.
Applying a Delayed Send Cell Type at the Front of the House
- Select the Delayed Send cell type. (In this example, SEND TIME.)
- The system defaults to the current day, but a different day can be selected from dates shown or by using the arrow to scroll through future dates.
- Use the keypad to type in the time the order will send and select AM or PM.
Common Issues and Troubleshooting
I set a delayed send time but need to send it sooner.
- To send the order immediately, reopen the check and press Send to send the order immediately..
- To send the order on a different date or time, simply repeat the steps to send a delayed order with the new date or time.
How can I see the date and time an order is set to send?
- The date and time are listed below the server name in Reopen Checks. In this example, the order will be sent on January 7th at 3:01 PM.
How can I see a list of all my advanced orders?
- When a server has advance orders, the REOPEN CHECKS button will also display “ADVANCE ORDRS.”
- Select ADV. ORDERS to display only advance orders.
- A list of all advance orders will be shown along with the date and time that they will be sent.
