Configure a PLU Cell Type in POSitouch

Back Office Settings

1. From the POSitouch back office, open Quick Menu.
   
2. Select the desired screen for the item to reside. (In this example, the item will appear on a screen labeled WINES BY THE BOTTLE.)
    
3. Select a blank cell.
    
4. Enter the following information:
   1. The name of the PLU cell in the Cell field.
   2. In the Cell Type dropdown, select PLU.
      

5. Select Close.
   
6. Select the X icon to close QuickMenu.
   
7. From the Back Office Main Menu, select Immediate System Change.
   
8. Select Continue.
   

Applying a PLU Cell Type at the Front of the House

1. Select the PLU cell type. (In this example, WINE BIN NUMBER.)
   
2. Using the pop up key pad, type in the bin number for the wine and select ENTER.
   
3. The system will pull up the corresponding wine based on the PLU entered.
   

Common Issues and Troubleshooting

When I type in bin number 2888, the system is ringing in the wrong item.

1. Ensure that the specific bin number typed in matches the "Inv. Item" field for the wine ordered. (In this example, the "Inv. Item" number is 2888 for the wine “BT Crawford Sauv”.)
