Description: Review the payment flow on v04.19.06.03 and above versions and the steps on how to complete a credit/debit/EBT or manual transaction with the Ingenico PIN Pad.
Important: This payment flow looks the same on this software version regardless if the Ingenico iPP320/iPP350/Lane 3000 or PAX SP30 are used. SP30 uses the POSPaygate plugin on Retail software to make payments instead of Integrated payment with Shift4.
Credit Card Transactions
- Select the green Payment button or the appropriate tender type from the Quick Pay tab to begin processing a credit card transaction.
- Once you have added the total amount, another box will prompt. Ensure Swipe Card [F9] is selected, then select Process [F10].
- Insert, swipe, or tap the card. You must swipe for Debit or EBT and insert a chip card for Credit.
- The PIN Pad will reflect if the transaction was Approved or Declined.
Completing an EBT transaction
- To complete an EBT transaction, select the green Payment button at the bottom of the screen, or select the EBT Quick Launch button if present.
- Add the total amount to the EBT tender type.
- Ensure Swipe Card [F9] is selected, then select EBT Food or EBT Cash at the bottom, based on which type the customer is using. Select Process [F10].
- Swipe the EBT Card through the PIN Pad.
- The PIN Pad will reflect if the transaction was Approved or Declined.
Completing a Manual Credit Card Transaction
To manually enter a credit card transaction, please follow the steps below:
- Select the credit card type: Visa, Amex, Mastercard, or Discover.
- Select Card Not Present [F7].
- Select Process [F10].
- The Ingenico PIN Pad will prompt you to "Enter Card Number."
- Next, it will prompt you to "Enter Expiration Date" of the credit card.
- The PIN Pad will reflect if the transaction has been Approved or Declined.
