What is causing this Issue?
The user cannot switch from Ethernet to USB in settings due to the option appearing locked or grayed-out. In order to use the Touchscreen menu on the Ingenico devices, the inline power has to be connected.
How do I resolve this Issue?
Leave the device on Ethernet for now and ensure the inline power is connected. Then go into the menu settings and change the communication type to USB. Once the communication type has been updated successfully, you can disconnect the Ethernet device and connect via USB to the relevant UTG workstation.
Additional steps, if further troubleshooting is needed:
- Connect the device via Ethernet on the site’s network to communicate with UTG temporarily.
- Update the firmware and forms on the device.
- Change the communication setting from Ethernet to USB before disconnecting the device.
- Save the changes.
- Disconnect the device and then connect via USB to the relevant UTG workstation.
If unable to perform either solution, contact support for assistance.
Internal:
If neither solution solved the issue, the device may need to be swapped.
