Confirm the Universal Transaction Gateway is Only Running One Instance of the Software

Description: Learn how to ensure the Universal Transaction Gateway (UTG) machine does not have multiple instances running by following the steps below.

1. Press Ctrl + Alt + Del on the keyboard to bring up the Windows Security window.
2. Select Task Manager from the window.
3. In the Task Manager, go to the Processes tab.
4. Make sure "Show processes from all users" is checked. This may require Admin access.
5. Click on Image Name for the column header to sort by that column.
6. The list is now alphabetical so go to the U section and look for utg2.exe, utg2svc.exe, and the N section for netapisvc.exe or netapi.exe.
7. If more than one listing comes up, highlight each of them and then click on End Process.

 Alternate Method (Windows 7+ Only) 

1. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc on the keyboard to bring up the Windows Task Manager.
2. In the Task Manager, go to the Processes tab.
3. Make sure "Show processes from all users" is checked. This may require Admin access.
4. Click on Image Name for the column header to sort by that column.
5. The list is now alphabetical, so go to the U section and look for utg2.exe, utg2svc.exe, and the N section for netapisvc.exe or netapi.exe.
6. If more than one listing comes up, highlight each of them and then click on End Process.
