Resolve "Alert Irruption!!!" or "Unauthorized" Error in Ingenico

     

What is causing this Error?

If the Ingenico PIN Pad gives an error stating "Alert Irruption!!!" or "Unauthorized" this indicates that the tamper sensor has been triggered on the PIN Pad due to the device hardware being physically damaged or tampered with.

How do I resolve this Error?

As this is a security feature developed by Ingenico, Shift4 has no means of rebooting or making setting changes to allow the device to clear these errors. Unfortunately, this CANNOT be repaired and needs to be replaced. Contact support for assistance.

Place a swap for the PIN pad.
