Enable Printed Tip Line on Receipts for Universal Transaction Gateway

Description: Learn how to set up a Tip Line on your receipts for the Universal Transaction Gateway (UTG) if using a non-signature capture PIN device.

Important: This is only available to Interfaces using the TCP\IP, TCP\IP SSL, HTTP, HTTP SSL, or OPI communication methods.

To have a Tip line return on the receipt details, you will need to perform the following:

1. Stop the UTG Service from running.
2. Open the UTG TuneUp.
3. Select the API Interface tab.
4. Select the TCP\IP, TCP\IP SSL, HTTP, HTTP SSL, or OPI thread you wish to edit.
5. Select Edit.
6. In Receipt Options, checkmark Print Blank Tip Line on Authorizations and Print Blank Tip Line on Sales.
7. Select OK.
8. Select Save at the top of the UTG TuneUp.
9. Now you may restart the UTG Services.

Note: Modern Communication types such as REST do not control this via the UTG software and are typically controlled via the Interface System communicating with the UTG directly.
