What is causing this Error?
This error occurs when the Universal Transaction Gateway (UTG) machine is not able to communicate to the Shift4 data center through the merchant’s internet connection.
How do I resolve this Error?
Refer to Troubleshooting using the S4Probe.
If you do not have internet access, the offline mode should be configured (see the chapter Configuring the UTG: Configuring Offline Mode in the UTG Quick Install Guide) so you can appropriately gain voice authorizations to be uploaded to the data center once the internet connection has been restored.
