What is causing this Issue?
In an EMV enabled environment, Signature Capture is determined by the type of PIN device in use. For instance, if using a device with a built-in signature screen like the ISC250/480, the device will automatically prompt for a signature while processing.
If using a device without the ability to capture this detail on the screen, like an IPP320/350, a signature line will be sent to the receipt details for signature capture during processing. If you do not see the correct signature method being performed on the device, it's possible that the device is set to the wrong Device Model Type in the UTG TuneUp.
How do I resolve this Issue?
- Stop the UTG Service or Stand Alone.
- Open the UTG TuneUp.
- Navigate to the Devices tab and select the device in question.
- Validate the device model matches the device type currently selected.
- if changes were made save the config and start the UTG to test a transaction.
- If the device is set correctly then this could be turned off on the terminal file. See, How do I configure EMV device hardware in Lighthouse Transaction Manager?
