Menu Item Sales Analysis Report Guide
To access this report, log in to Business Intelligence and select Loss Prevention > Menu Item Sales Analysis.
Purpose of the Report
The Menu Item Sales Analysis report allows you to select a specific menu item and analyze sales by:
- Store
- Daypart
- Employee
This report is especially useful if you are:
- Running a sales contest on a specific item
- Tracking performance of a new menu item
- Monitoring employee sales behavior
How to Select a Menu Item
- Select Lookup Items.
- A dropdown list of all menu items in the database will appear.
- You can:
- Use the search bar at the top to quickly find an item, or
- Scroll through the full list
Practical Use Case Example
This report can be used to identify which employee has sold the most of a specific item, such as bottled water.
Once you identify the employee:
- You may want to run a Tip Report for that employee.
- This can help determine whether they are ringing in water while providing a different beverage in an effort to increase tips.
Example Scenario
Below is an example of a report for Water at the Enterprise level, sorted by the Qty column to identify the employee who sold the highest quantity.
- You can use this same method to:
- Track the performance of a new appetizer
- Monitor upsell contests
- Recognize top-performing employees
