Description: Learn about Advanced settings in the Hospitality system that allow you to define different menus, discounts, and sections for distinct parts of your restaurant, as well as allocate sales to revenue centers and define payment types.
You can change Advanced Settings by logging into the system, navigating to the Manager screen in the top center, and selecting Advanced.
Screen Category Sets
This section allows you to create alternate sets of screen categories for different jobs, resulting in multiple menus that you can restrict:
- To create a new screen category set, select New on the right side of the screen.
- To edit an existing screen category set:
- Select the screen category set from the box on the right.
- Make the proper adjustments.
- Click OK to commit the changes.
Screen Category Set Fields
Name of this Category Set (required): Give the screen category set a name; it is beneficial to name it with a descriptor about what job you can access this menu with.
Jobs with this Category Sets: Select the box labeled “Jobs” to open the corresponding dialog box. Select the job(s) with access to this screen category set and choose OK to commit.
Pick Categories to include in this Category Set: Place a checkmark next to the screen categories included in this set. Use the arrow keys on the right side of the screen to alter the order of the categories.
Discount Sets
This section allows you to create alternate sets of discounts for different jobs, resulting in multiple discounts that you can restrict:
- To create a new discount set, select New on the right side of the screen.
- To edit an existing discount set:
- Select the discount set from the box on the right.
- Make the proper adjustments.
- Click OK to commit the changes.
Discount Set Terms
- Name of this Discount Set (required): Give the discount set a name; it is beneficial to name it with a descriptor as to what job can access this discount set.
- Jobs with this Discount Sets: Select the box labeled “Jobs” to open the corresponding dialog box. Select the job(s) that have access to this discount set, and choose OK to commit.
- Pick Discounts to include in this Discount Set: Place a checkmark next to the discounts you want to include in this set. Use the arrow keys along the right side of the screen to alter the order of the discounts.
Section Sets
This section allows you to create alternate sets of sections for different jobs, resulting in multiple sections that you can restrict:
- To create a new section set, select New on the right side of the screen.
- To edit an existing section set:
- Select the section set from the box on the right.
- Make the proper adjustments.
- Click OK to commit the changes.
Section Set Fields

Revenue Centers
You can further define revenue centers in this section for accounting purposes. On this page, select Revenue Centers to create and edit Revenue Centers. You can also set Priority to either a table section or job when a sale has more than one revenue center and select whether or not to allow mixed revenue centers on one ticket.
- To create a new revenue center, select New in the lower left of the screen.
- To edit an existing revenue center:
- Select the revenue center name on the left side of the screen.
- Make the proper adjustments.
- Select OK to commit the changes.
Revenue Center Terms
- Name of this Revenue Center: Give the Revenue Center a name that is descriptive of what items or taxes are applied.
- Active: Place a checkmark in the box to activate the revenue center for use.
- Sections in Revenue Center: Tapping within the box allows you to select which sections you can apply this revenue center to.
- Jobs in Revenue Center: Tapping within the box allows you to restrict this revenue center to certain jobs.
- Taxes applying to this Revenue Center: Allows for the attachment of taxes to the revenue center.
Tender Types
The Hospitality POS system gives you the ability to create custom tender types to use when processing transactions.
