Ticket is From Today and End of Day has NOT Been Performed
You can only edit tickets when the End of Day has not been performed. However, there are conditions associated with adding a customer to a ticket depending on whether the ticket has been paid for. The sub-sections below review the options available based on the paid status of the ticket.
Ticket has Been Paid in Full
Once a ticket has been paid in full, the ticket is marked as a completed/paid ticket. Therefore, it cannot be edited. If you need to add a customer to the ticket after the ticket is paid in full, you can only do so if you void the payment. Once you void the payment, you can return to the payment screen and click the Edit Check button.
Since this requires voiding the payment, it is not recommended for credit card transactions. However, for a cash sale, it’s simple to void the cash payment, edit the check, attach the customer, and then re-pay the check out as cash again.
- This will not throw off your cash sales as you are removing and then re-adding, keeping the total the same.
- For credit cards, if you choose to void the credit card payment, you need to re-swipe or re-enter the credit card data.
- This causes the customer to see two initial charges on their account:
- One is pre-authorization (voided) which falls off.
- The other is the second authorization that you are claiming.
- This causes the customer to see two initial charges on their account:
Ticket Hasn't Been Paid for Yet
If the ticket hasn't been paid for, you can edit the check.
- Press the Checks button from the main QSR screen.
- Locate the check.
- Select the right-side portion of the check, which takes you to the payment screen.
- At the top of the payment screen, select the Edit Check button, which takes you back to the order screen.
- Attach a customer to the ticket as you would normally.

Ticket is not From Today and End of Day has Been Performed
You can only edit tickets from the same business date. Once the End Of Day is performed, all tickets are committed to the history database and cannot be changed. To look up a previous day’s ticket information, navigate to Admin > Recall a Check From the Previous Day.
