Step 1. Setting Up Your Maximum Party Size

To properly accommodate larger parties, you may prefer that they contact your restaurant directly rather than book online.

The Maximum Party Size setting allows you to:

• Set the largest party size eligible for online reservations.
• Provide a custom message to guests attempting to book a larger party.

To set your maximum online reservation size:

1. Locate the Maximum Party Size box.
   
2. Use the up and down arrows to adjust the maximum number of guests allowed to book through Reservations.

Parties larger than this number will not be able to complete an online reservation.

Step 2. Creating a Maximum Party Size Message for Customers

When a guest attempts to book a party larger than your allowed maximum, they will see a message.

You may:

• Use the default system message, or
• Create a custom message.

To create your own message:

1. Select inside the message box.
   
2. Enter your personalized message (for example, instructions to call the restaurant directly for large party bookings).

This allows you to provide clear guidance and maintain control over large group reservations.

Step 3. Saving Your Maximum Party Size Settings

Once you have:

• Set your maximum party size
• Created or confirmed your customer message (optional)

You are ready to save your progress.

• Select Next to save your work and move to the next section of the Setup Wizard.
  
• To return to this section at any time during setup, select Maximum Party Size.
