Description: Learn how to set up your restaurant’s floor plan within the Hospitality Reservations Setup Wizard.
Step 1. Creating Rooms
The Setup Your Floor Plan feature allows you to recreate your restaurant’s layout room by room.
Begin by creating each room in your restaurant (for example, Main Dining Room or Bar).
- Select Add a Room in the bottom-right corner.
- Enter the name of the room.
- Repeat this process until all rooms in your restaurant have been added.
Step 2. Laying Out Your Floor Plan
Once your rooms are created, you can begin placing tables within each room.
- Drag and drop tables from the right-side panel onto the floor plan.
- Position tables to match your restaurant’s actual layout.
- (Optional) Use the Grid feature to align tables neatly and create a cleaner layout.
Take your time to ensure your digital layout accurately reflects your physical floor plan.
Step 3. Editing Tables
To edit an individual table:
- Select the table you would like to modify. The Edit Table pop-up window will appear.
- Select Cancel to return to the floor plan without saving changes.
- Select Done to save all changes before returning to the floor plan.
Step 4. Edit Tables Features
Below is an explanation of each feature within the Edit Table pop-up window.
Table Name
Select Name and enter the name or number(s) you use to identify the table.
Table Size
Select Table Size and choose the intended seating capacity of the table.
Minimum Occupancy
Select Min. Party Size and choose the minimum number of guests allowed to sit at this table.
Maximum Occupancy
Select Max. Party Size and choose the maximum number of guests allowed to sit at this table.
Resize Table
Select Resize Table to adjust the table’s size on the floor plan.
- Select and drag the resize icon.
- The table will enlarge as you drag.
- Continue dragging until you reach your desired size.
If you wish to decrease the size after enlarging it, drag the resize icon inward.
Note: You cannot reduce the table below its default size. Tables may only be increased beyond their default size.
Delete Table
To remove a table entirely:
- Select Delete Table.
- In the confirmation pop-up window, select Yes, delete this table.
Assistance
Select Assistance for additional information about the Edit Table pop-up window and its features.
Step 5. Saving Your Floor Plan
After you have:
- Created all rooms
- Laid out your floor plan
- Edited all tables accurately
You are ready to save and continue.
To save your work and move to the next section of the Setup Wizard, select Next.
Once finished with this step, proceed to Reservations Setup Wizard: Part 2. Blocks and Table Assignments.
