Description: Learn how to do the initial scanning and the use of fingerprints in POSitouch.
Initial Scan of Fingerprint
- Enter the user number, then select FINGERPRINT.
- Select Add POS User. Select a user from the list.
- Press and release the same finger on the scanner until all boxes display prints.
- Confirm Scan and Save.
- Confirm scanning is complete when all prints display “Good”.
- Select Save New Scan.
- Select Quit.
Rescan Fingerprint
- Enter the user number, then press FINGERPRINT.
- Select the user record.
- Using the arrow buttons, find the desired employee. (Clark Kent in this example.)
- Select Rescan Prints and rescan their fingerprint.
- Select Save New Scan.
- Select Quit.
Make an Employee Inactive
- Enter the user number, then press FINGERPRINT.
- Select user to remove.
- Using the arrow buttons, find the desired employee.
- Select -.
- Select Quit.
- From the Back Office computer, navigate to Time and Attendance > Employees.
- Select the user to inactivate.
- Select Go To…
- Enter last name or employee number.
- Select OK.
- Select Immediate System Change.
- Select Continue.
