Description: Learn about the updated employee dashboard with a straightforward clock-out checklist, new settings for easier management, enhanced reporting with clear and relevant data, and integration with the manager's end-of-day checklist to streamline the close-out process for employees.
We streamlined the employee dashboard's UI/UX to match existing designs for End of Day, implemented a straightforward checklist-driven clock-out process for adherence to proper procedures, transitioned settings from Employee to Job Level for easier permission management, added enhanced reporting by including pertinent data in a clear, sequential format, all aimed at simplifying and improving the close-out process for employees.
Overview
The updated employee dashboard integrates with the manager's end-of-day checklist, featuring drill-down options, incorporates job-level settings for cash handling and clock-out restrictions, establishes a migration pathway for cash handling rules from employee to job level (cash drawer), and introduces a comprehensive end-of-shift report tailored for blind and non-blind jobs based on the cash handling rule.
Refreshed Employee Dashboard
The Employee Dashboard was completely redesigned in v1.90.1 around a basic checklist functionality to ensure specific functions are performed before clocking out. The dashboard is laid out to show employee shift information, including break functionality in the top left.
Below that is the checklist for closing all tickets, finalizing tips, and closing drawers/banks. Requirements around each of these are covered in Job Setting > Clock Out Restrictions.
Finally, to the right, the entire space has been dedicated to showing a preview of the new Employee End of Shift Report, which can be printed on demand and viewed to view recent shift history. Use the "Print Summary" button to print four concise summaries of basic information from an Employee's shift.
