Create or Edit Modifier Sets on SkyTab POS

The order that Modifier Sets display on the Order Entry screen is defined in the Item Settings screen.  

Create a Modifier Set

1. Navigate to Manager > Settings > Menu.
2. Select the Modifier Sets tab at the top of the screen.
3. Select Add New in the lower-left corner of the screen.
4. Fill in the fields (Name, Default Price, etc.) and enable desired toggles.
5. Select Save.

Edit a Modifier Set

1. Navigate to Manager > Settings > Menu.
2. Select the Modifier Sets tab at the top of the screen.
3. Select the desired modifier set on the left-hand side of the screen.
4. Make the changes needed.
5. Select Save to commit the changes.

General Tab Terms

Active: Toggle right to activate the modifier set or left to deactivate

Modifier Set Name (required): Enter a unique name for the modifier set

Modifier Set Required: Determine whether or not the modifier set is mandatory or if it only appears if selected

• Display item options until dismissed: Appears when the item is selected

Allow Selection Of More Than One Modifier: Allow more than one modifier to be selected from the set

• Max Selections Allowed: Set a maximum number of selections

Enable Quantity Selection Per Modifier: Allow a quantity to be added for each modifier with Min/Max parameters

Default Modifier Price: Set the price for all Modifiers in this set (overrides prices set under Assigned Modifiers)

Assigned Modifiers: Add or remove modifiers from the modifier set

1. Select Tap to edit.
2. Tap a modifier on the left to move it to the right and allow it.
3. Change the individual price of the modifier if desired.
   1. Select within the white box to the right of the modifier name.
   2. Enter a specific price OR price as a percentage of the item.
      • If pricing as a percentage, use a whole number format (5.00 = 5%).
4. Modifiers display and print in the order listed here. To change the order, select Edit in the upper right.
   • Use the middle arrows to move the Allowed Modifier up or down one position.
   • Use the first and last arrows to move the Allowed Modifier to the top or bottom.
   • Toggle Sort A-Z to put the assigned Allowed Modifiers in alphabetical order.
5. Press Done, then Ok to commit the changes.

Duplicate: Creates another modifier set with the same attributes but requires a different name.

Advanced Tab Terms

Assigned Items: Lists items the modifier set is attached to.

Kitchen Print Name: Designate the name that prints to the kitchen.

Print Modifiers With Modifier Set Name On Ticket: The modifier set name prepends the modifier when printed.

Print All Modifiers in Red/Bold: The modifiers print in either Red (Dot Matrix printer) or Bold (Thermal printer).

Delete or Remove Modifier Sets

Note: SkyTab POS software is not capable of deleting or removing Modifier Sets once they are in the POS system. The only way to remove or delete Modifier Sets from the menu is to make them inactive.

To deactivate the Modifier Set, proceed with the following steps:

1. Navigate to the Manager > Settings > Menu > Modifier Sets. Select the Modifier Set that needs to be deactivated from the left side menu by pressing on it.
2. Slide the Active toggle OFF on the top middle of the screen.
3. Press the blue Save button at the bottom right corner.
