Description: Learn about the different options for Hospitality’s Cash Drawer below.
These options are located along the bottom of the Order Entry screen in a menu labeled Cash Drawer. Edit Cash Drawer functions with Manager Settings > Employees.
Cash In
Cash In allows you to put additional cash into the drawer throughout the day. This is cash that is not associated with sales. You can also use this function to add to the starting drawer amount.
- Select Cash Drawer > Cash In.
- Enter the amount and select OK.
- Add any Reason for the Cash In (optional).
- The system shows how much should be in the drawer at the end of the process.
- Press OK when complete.
Cash Out
Cash Out allows you to take out any cash from the drawer. This is primarily used in instances where the employee needs to buy supplies for the business with cash from the drawer.
- Select Cash Drawer > Cash Out.
- Enter the Amount you are removing from the drawer and select OK.
- Add any Reason for the Cash Out (optional).
- The system prompts you to remove the cash from the drawer at the end of the process.
- Press OK when complete.
Cash Drop
Cash Drop allows you to take cash from the drawer and put it into your safe to be added to your daily deposit total.
- Select Cash Drawer > Cash Drop.
- Enter the Amount you are removing from the drawer and select OK.
- The system prompts you to remove the cash from the drawer at the end of the process.
- Press OK when complete.
Remove
At the end of a shift, you need to remove the drawer from the previous shift so that you are able to start anew.
- Tap on Cash Drawer and select Remove.
- The system asks you if you really want to remove the cash drawer, then select OK.
- The system then shows you how much should be removed from the drawer to end the shift.
- Press OK when complete.
No Sale
Performing a No Sale allows you to open the drawer without processing a transaction or notating how much the cash balance has been altered. This can be used for placing forgotten coupons or checks inside the drawer.
