Description: Review the different ways to utilize the Customer Database within the Hospitality system. The Customer Database helps you look up where customers live, their phone numbers, and past orders if you have that information in your database.
To access the Customer Database, log in to the system using your four-digit PIN and select Customer in the upper right corner of the Order Screen.
Add a New Customer
To add a new customer to the system:
- Select Customer in the upper right corner of the screen.
- Select New Customer in the lower right.
- Fill in the desired information into the Edit Customer screen. The name and phone number are the most important to fill in, although only their name is required.
Note: If you are utilizing delivery functionality, you will need to fill in the customer’s address.
Edit Customer Functionality
Select Customer in the upper right corner. Then on the Customer page, type the customer’s name or phone number into the search bar. When it appears, select the customer at the top of the screen.
Customer Profile
Once you select the customer, their existing profile opens, and you can access the below functions:
Edit Customer
Selecting Edit Customer allows you to edit any of the information that has been entered into the customer’s profile, as well as add new information where applicable. Once all changes have been completed, select OK to commit the changes.
New Ticket
The New Ticket feature will allow you to begin a brand new ticket attached to this customer’s account. Selecting this option will navigate you to Host Mode to select a table (if applicable) or directly to the Order Entry screen to begin adding items to the ticket. You will see the customer’s name listed in the top left corner of the ticket.
Previous Tickets
If trying to view the customer’s prior orders, select Previous Tickets to open the Recent Tickets page. Here you can select the tickets on the left and then have the option to reorder the same items for the customer. Selecting this option navigates you back to the Order Entry screen to complete the transaction.
Favorites
Once a few orders have been processed for the customer, they will have a list of Favorites on their customer profile. This section lists the items ordered as well as the number of times the customer has ordered them. Selecting the item opens a new ticket under the customer’s name with that item attached to it.
