Description: Menu Group Reminders is a feature in QSR & Delivery which reminds delivery drivers to take special items when a ticket is selected for delivery. This is ideal for items that are kept cold, like salads, desserts, and drinks.
To configure “Menu Group Reminders,” you must first determine what food groups you want to remind the driver about before leaving on delivery. In this example, we are using the “Snacks, “Dessert,” and “Beverages" Groups. In QSR, each group has an ID. Once you know what groups you are using, you must obtain the Group ID.
- To set up the menu group reminders, log in to the system and navigate to Admin > Config Tools > Database Settings.
- In Database Settings, select the Groups tab and locate the Group ID(s) next to the Group(s) that you want to set the reminders for.
- In the example above, Snacks are ID 13, Dessert is ID 19, and Beverages is ID 21. Write these numbers down as you will need them in a later step.
- Then select Exit in the upper left and select System + Station Settings from the Config Tools menu.
- Locate the Orders line item and expand it and locate the Menu Group Reminders sub-line.
- Press Change Setting to adjust the values.
- Enter the Group ID(s) from the Database Settings > Groups tab here. This is pipe-delimited so you must enter a pipe ( | ) between each Group ID. Click the Complete button to save the changes.
- Check your work by creating a ticket for delivery and adding the food groups you added to the Menu Group Reminders to that ticket. On the Driver Dispatch screen, select the ticket from the middle list and an available driver from the left to assign them.
If configured properly, you will see the red reminder screen at this time.
