What is causing this Issue?
If you are selecting the Close Register button when performing the End of Day (EOD) tasks on your Echo POS system and it does not prompt you for the Start of Day amount, this could either be because there are incorrect amounts in your closing process or you have held tickets. "Block if Tickets Held" will not allow you to complete the End of Day process with any Held Orders in the system. With this feature, all Held Orders must be completed or voided to avoid any reporting discrepancies.
How do I resolve this Issue?
- To resolve this, press the Close Register button but if it does not prompt for Start of Day, select Manager in the upper right corner of the order entry screen and choose End of Day from the drop-down list.
- On the right side, you will need to ensure you fill out the appropriate tender types into the Payment Type, Expected, and Received. Then select Save and try to close the register.
- If that doesn't work, navigate to Manager > General Settings > Manage Day End and determine if you have Block if Tickets Held set to Yes then verify whether or not there are any held orders under the Recall screen.
