What is causing this Issue?
The Epson TM-M30 is used for printing customer-facing receipts and guest checks. This plugs directly into the POS system. This issue can occur if the connections to the power and USB port are not secure or the paper roll is not properly installed in the printer.
How do I resolve this Issue?
- Make sure the printer is securely plugged into the terminal. The light under the power button should be green.
- Make sure that the cabling is securely in the power USB port in the Terminal. Ensure that the Y-cable with two ports goes into the back of the receipt printer into the DC24V and the USB port.
- Ensure that the paper is in the printer correctly, with the paper flap facing upwards.
- Use the cover open lever to open the roll paper cover.
- Ensure the roll is in the printer correctly. Re-install the paper roll if it is positioned incorrectly.

- Pull out some paper, and close the roll paper cover.
- Go to the Testing Screen and try testing the USB printer.

If the above solutions don't work, swap the printer.
