Select the Page 2 button at the top left of the Item Information page to navigate to additional options that can be customized for each Item:
Custom Attributes: Additional searching tools for multiple Items, making it easier for you to differentiate between different descriptors such as ISBN, Genres, and Authors. They are best used in circumstances where Item tags would be impractical.
Notes: Add notes to the Item.
Weight: Allows you to either manually enter Item weight or utilize Scale Integration to sell an Item by weight, the following options are available:
- Item is Sold By Weight: Place a check in this box to notate that the Item is sold as a weighted amount.
- Uses Weight Scale: Determines if you manually enter the weight or use the physical scale.
- Tare Weight: The weight of a container deducted from the gross weight to obtain net weight or the weight of an empty container.
- Example: Frozen yogurt establishments use tare weights to subtract the container from the yogurt so the customer is not charged for the container.
- Unit: The unit of weight (i.e. ounces or pounds).
Barcode: Echo has the ability to scan barcodes to ring up retail Items. To attach, tap in the box, and scan the barcode:
- Only ONE Item per barcode and ONE barcode per Item
- There is no barcode or SKU tracking. This is simply another searching method
- There is NO barcode printing compatibility with Echo
Print Remote: Enables the Item to print on a remote printer.
Open Item: When the Item is selected on the order screen, you are prompted to enter a price, rather than having a set price for the Item as usual.
