Description: In addition to QSR's delivery functionality, the system also allows drivers to utilize Google Maps to gain directions to a customer's location within the system.
For more information on the delivery functionality, visit the Delivery Functionality article.
Map All Deliveries
To access these maps, log in to the system and select Drivers from the main screen. The Map All button is designed to give you approximate locations of the current checks assigned to Delivery (to be delivered) against the location of the business.
- The Business’s location is represented by the House icon with the Knife/Fork symbol.
- Each delivery destination is represented with its respective Check #
This is not a turn-by-turn direction page, nor can directions be obtained from this page. The idea with this screen is to allow you to see a top-down view of where your current deliveries are, so you can assign the checks to each driver according to where the driver needs to go.
In the above example, there are four different deliveries, Check #12, #13, #14, and #15. You may want to send one driver to deliver Check #12, #13, and #15 and another driver to deliver Check #14. Check #14 is in the opposite direction of the others and is much further away than the others. Therefore, having one driver assigned to this delivery and another driver to the other three deliveries would be the best driver management option here.
For turn-by-turn directions, you need to assign the deliveries to a driver. Then, use the “Get Directions” feature to obtain directions for the route assigned.
Map My Route
In order to use the Map My Route, you must first have deliveries pending, a driver signed in, and then assign those deliveries to that driver.
Once the Driver is marked in “Driver Out” and the deliveries are assigned, tap on their name. Then, from the Driver Out screen, select Map My Route.
Next, you see a list of the deliveries assigned and their addresses. Select Get Directions.
Below is an example of the “Turn-by-Turn Directions” screen. This screen does not display Turn-by-Turn directions on Windows 7 on our latest versions. The Print button at the top can be used to print the directions on the receipt printer. You are encouraged to use the Print feature for your drivers.
The Map My Route feature should not be confused with the Map All feature. Map All is used for a top-down view of the business locations against the active delivery locations for proper driver management. The Map My Route feature is used to print the turn-by-turn directions for the driver.
