What is a Pay In & Pay Out
To add or remove cash from the drawer for a specific reason unassociated with a sale. You will need to do this from the Admin screen.
- Pay In (Cash In): Money inserted into the Cash Drawer unassociated with a sale.
- Pay Out (Cash Out): Money removed from the Cash Drawer unassociated with a sale.
How can I perform a Pay In or Pay Out?
A Pay In or Pay Out requires permission to access the Admin screen. From there, Pay In and Pay Out buttons can be located underneath the Daily Functions section.
How are Pay In and Pay Outs Logged in the Software?
Go to the Admin screen, then select Cash Drawer Functions at the register you want to check. Pay In and Pay Out are logged per station per Cash Drawer and will only affect the cash drawer associated with that station.
On this screen, you will see both Pay In and Pay Out affect the cash drawer. A Pay In increases the Expected Cash in the drawer, where a Pay Out will reduce the Expected Cash in the drawer.
How can I add more Pay In/Out Reasons?
A Pay In and Pay Out requires the user to select a reason when using either of these options. In order to add/edit/change these options, you need to update the Database Settings.
