Description: Service Types are used as a form of order type that can be used to determine where an order should be going. Learn about the two methods for changing the Service Type depending on the scenario below.

Change the Service Type and Pay the Ticket Out
To change the Service Type and pay the ticket out:
- Log in to the system.
- Open the appropriate ticket. The currently active Service Type is shown above the itemized check.
- Tap on the currently active Service Type to display the list of available Service Types.
- Select the new Service Type. The new Service Type displays above the itemized check information.
- Process the transaction as normal.
- When the transaction is complete, you cannot change the Service Type.
The only way to change it once the check has been paid is to void the ticket and then proceed with the above steps again to change the Service Type. Instead of resending the check to the Service Type, you can return to the Pay screen and complete the payment.
Change the Service Type Without Making a Payment
To change the Service Type without making a payment:
- Log in to the system.
- Open up the appropriate ticket.
- From the Pay screen, select Edit a Check at the top of the screen.
- Once the ticket is open, select Send in the lower right.
- Select a new Service Type from the available list. This ensures that the changes are saved without making a payment. The check will not be categorized underneath the newly assigned Service Type.
