What is causing this Error?
The error 9956 terminal ID ### not configured for any PIN Pad will come up when the Universal Transaction Gateway (UTG) does not have a device configured with a Terminal ID (TID) that matches the TID that the Point of Sale (POS) is sending. The error message itself will identify what TID the POS is sending.
How do I resolve this Error?
1. Go to the UTG server and stop the current instance of the UTG or Stop Stand-Alone Mode for Universal Transaction Gateway.
2. Open the UTG TuneUp.
2. Open the UTG TuneUp.
3. Go to the Devices tab and double-click on the device in question to edit it.
4. Locate the box titled API TID.
5. Ensure that the TID in the API TID box matches what is being sent by the POS. This should be the TID found in the error message.
6. Click OK to exit the edit device window.

7. Click Save to exit the UTG TuneUp.
8. Restart the UTG or Start the UTG (v2) Stand Alone.
